Whether you want to eat a well-behaved burger that is generously topped with veggies or a badly behaved burger, one that is gussied up with caloric extras such as beef and bacon, a burger is a burger.
Whatever the burger, burgers are great. You can re-imagine the patties to suit you, especially if you’re on a weight-loss-plan.
But that’s not why we’re here today! We’re here to discuss the best burger size. And that’s a question procrastinated by generations.
You’ve come to the right site if you’re curious about knowing the ideal burger patty size.
2 Ounce Patty
The truth about burger size is that internal cooking becomes more difficult as the patty size increases. I’m not trying to campaign for this small patty size, though!.
If you love the little delicious burger slider, this is the best size for you. Usually, it is nicely and thinly grilled and cooks pretty fast.
If you‘re on the go and want to satisfy a burger craving, then a 2-ounce patty is the best size for you. But, in my opinion, that’s all it offers, plus it causes an appetite for more.
3 Ounce Patty
Talking of 3 ounces patties, in my opinion, this is the most versatile. It is the standard size in some fast food. Compared to 2 ounces, it requires more preparation time and takes longer to cook. Precisely, it takes about 4-5 minutes per side at 480 degrees Fahrenheit to get ready.
The good news is it’s larger enough to drive away the burger craving and leave you fuller.
4 Ounce Patty
If you woke up thinking about eating a burger unapologetically, this is the burger for you. It has the best meat-to-bun ratio. It’s the standard size burger in most fast food joints. It takes about 5-6 minutes to cook each side at 480 degrees Fahrenheit.
Any burger larger than 4 ounces needs the expertise of a chef to prepare and cook, without which, it will have an undercooked interior.
If cooking burgers is not your cup of tea, I’d rather you buy 4 ounces and below from fast food joints or any restaurant.
If you love cooking, then prepare and cook 4-6-8 ounce sizes. It’s a worthwhile adventure. Have patience and give it enough time to cook to be ready internally.
With these tips, don’t let your mouth water more. Go for your favorite size.
